Inspiring employees with a new brand
ASSIGNMENT
In 2015, Flextronics was known primarily as a contract electronics manufacturer and global supply chain company. We were approached by their CMO to help re-position and re-brand the company in order to convey its new strategy as a global “sketch-to-scale” solutions provider that designs and builds intelligent products for a connected world.
Prior to the re-branding, employees viewed Flextronics as a contract electronics manufacturer, EMS company or end-to-end supply chain solutions company. They weren’t aware of the value proposition of the new company or how they fit in. Many didn’t make a connection between what they do every day and the company’s mission, or feel that they played an important role within the company.
SOLUTION
Flex’s CMO set out to change that perception – engaging us to create a high level employer brand video to inspire and motivate Flex employees to personally identify with the company’s new direction, and create a strong employer brand to ensure recruitment success. Our idea was to tell the Flex brand story in a simple, powerful and confident manner – using on-screen text to drive the narrative. We shot this piece and a brand anthem video together for production efficiency.
