The optimist vs. the naysayer

THE ASSIGNMENT

This piece is an oldie but a goodie.

Back in 2005, we were working with Intel and Revelations Entertainment, Morgan Freeman’s production company, to help promote digital content distribution through Intel technology. Intel executives needed a needed an opening video to support an executive keynote presentation at MIPTV, the international market for content development and distribution.

At the time, Intel was trying to convince the industry that digital content distribution was the “next big thing.” Well, they were right. And while times have certainly changed, this video stands the test of time to make a universal statement – don’t be a naysayer!

SOLUTION

Our creative concept was based on the idea that each new entertainment medium is initially greeted with skepticism and doubt, because it disrupts the status quo and people often can’t see its full potential. These are the naysayers.

So we decided to take trip through time with the same naysayer and optimist as they witness the arrival of each new entertainment medium to drive home the point to the audience of entertainment distributors that digital media will revolutionize how we experience entertainment, so buckle up and get on board!
