Apple products are known for their reliability and longevity because the company rigorously tests each product and component to ensure high levels of performance and durability. Apple’s Reliability Labs continuously tests innovative materials, design methodologies and finished products based on the physics of failure and expected user behaviors to validate product reliability.

SOLUTION

Apple asked us to document a few examples of its reliability testing process to help inform new employees during orientation. What we discovered was a fascinating, kinetic ballet of test machines, product torture chambers and drop tests that inspired us to orchestrate the process with a fun, robotic music track.
